Paniyara Kal is a traditional kitchen utensil that is made of soapstone/maakal by rural village artisans and sculptors. They are the people who were manufacturing these kinds of carved kitchen vessels for more than 5 decades ago.
These people handcraft these kitchen stonewares. All the things right from design, shape, model, and angles are cropped by them with their hand without any machine assistance. This is the reason why these products have heritage look and ancient style and traditional appearance.

Steps/Cautions Before Using:
Perfectly habituated and seasoned stone utensils can be used for many years. Below are the steps for right season of any stone products.
Day 1: Mix 1 teaspoon of Turmeric powder with any oil and make a paste. Apply it on the surface of the utensils and keep that ideal for a full day.
Have Rice gruel or Rice starch water or rice flour mixed water to habituate the utensils. The content will be called a mixture.
Day 2: Heat the prepared mixture and put it in a vessel till neck and keep it aside for 24 hours
Day 3: Either repeat the procedure of the second day with a fresh mixture or heat the same mixture in another utensil and pour it in stoneware.
Day 4, 5, & 6: Repeat the same procedure in all stone utensils.
Day 7: If the rice cooked mixture poured on the surface looks nonstick, then that particular stone vessel is ready to place on the burner for regular usage.
Once the seasoning is completed, Stoneware will have a natural non-stick surface.
You can cook food in these stone vessels with little to no oil, replacing the coated non-stick pans that chip and fleck away.
This simple step by step seasoning process takes almost a week. It improves the surface and increases the life of the Stoneware.
