Butea is a species native to the tropical and subtropical regions of the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia (India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Nepal, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam). It is commonly called Flame-of-the-Forest and Bastard Teak or Palash Flowers.
