The Mesquite Tree is grown up to 12-meter height and the diameter of the trunk is up to 1.2 meters. The leaves of this tree are i-pinnate, deciduous, light green and it compounded with the 12 to 20 leaflets. The flowers appear shortly after the leaf development.

The flowers of this tree are green-yellow color, the length of this flower is 5-10 cm and the flowers have cylindrical spikes that occur in clusters of 2 to 5 at the end of the branches. The pods of this tree are 30 to 30 cm long and it contains 10 to 30 seeds per pod.

A well-mature tree produces hundreds of thousands of seeds. The seeds of this tree remain viable for up to 10 years. The seeds are used to reproduces the tree, not vegetatively.

These seeds are spread by the cattle and other animals that consume seed pods and spread the seeds in their droppings.

The native of the Mesquite tree is Southern America, Mexico, and the Caribbean. It is established in Asia, Africa, and Australian countries. The root of this tree grows to a great depth, it will discover the water up to 175 ft depth. This tree has pairs of thorns at the nodes.
