People, especially women, love to have strong, healthy, and shiny hair. In this busy world, people have no time to care their hair. You are just focusing only on their skin and nails to make it pretty. But that’s not right. Hair also needs love and care.
Most of them are spending hefty amounts at the saloon just for a perfect look. A beautiful dress, nice figure, good footwear, and pretty face makes you look charming, but if you have dry, brittle, dull hair, then it might disappoint you in that situation. So maintaining your hair is very important.
Doing hair treatment or hair spa not only makes your hair soft and shiny, it also helps you to get rid of stress. But you have to spend a lot at the salon for hair spa or hair treatment.
But do you know one thing, hair spa can be done at home by yourself. So that you can save your time and money. Let me give you a clear idea of a hair spa and how to do it at home easily.
What is a Hair Spa?
A hair spa is a hair treatment, where your hair is nourished with some ingredients to repair damaged hair and improve its quality. This treatment involves multiple steps to make your hair strong and shiny. The steps include oil massage, hair packs, and hair rinse.
A hair spa is also a great way to relax at home after a long stressful day. It gives you relaxation and at the same time, it keeps your hair moisturized. So you’ll feel fresh and also help you get softer hair than before.
How can we do Hair Spa at Home?
Hair spa starts with an oil massage, which will nourish your hair well. The next step is applying hair packs. It treats your hair problems and promotes hair growth. And finally the hair rinse. This makes your hair shine.
1. Hot oil Massage
Oil massage can be done in many ways with different types of oils. Here I’ll give you two different methods. Fenugreek oil and coconut oil hair spa. To know various methods, you can refer here.
Fenugreek oil hair spa
Take 1 tablespoon of coarsely crushed fenugreek seeds in a bowl. Add 1/4 cup of unrefined coconut oil. Now heat this mixture for 15 to 20 minutes. This will help the fenugreek seeds to release their essence into the oil.
Once it is heated, strain the oil to remove the fenugreek seeds. This fenugreek oil has a subtle smell and acts as an excellent hair conditioner. You can also store it at room temperature for a few months.
How to use it?
Once the oil is prepared, massage it all over the hair and scalp. This will treat the split ends. After a massage, dip a towel in hot water and tie it around your head. Let the towel be in your head for some time and remove it once the towel loses its heat.
Note: While preparing the oil, make sure that the fenugreek seeds are ground coarsely. Don’t grind it into a fine powder, because it will be very difficult for you to strain. And also while applying, make sure that you’re applying the oil on both your hair and scalp.
2. Applying Hair Pack
Curry leaves are the most effective ingredient to make your hair smooth and silky. You can also use other herbs like hibiscus, amla, or herbal powders.
Preparation
In a bowl, add a handful of fresh curry leaves and 1 tablespoon of freshly prepared homemade curd. Along with it add 1/2 tbsp of apple cider vinegar and a few teaspoons of virgin coconut oil. Then blend this mixture to a paste. If the mixture is too thick, you can add even more curd while blending.
How to use it?
Next to a hot oil massage, you have to apply a hair pack. Apply the freshly prepared hair pack all over your scalp and hair. Leave it to dry and then wash it off using a mild shampoo. This will treat your itchy scalp, dandruff, and other scalp problems. It also promotes hair growth.
3. Hair Rinse
The final step in a hair spa is the hair rinse. The green tea hair rinse will give you effective results, so let me tell you here.
Preparation
Making green tea hair rinse is very simple. Just boil the water along with green tea bags. Then leave it for a minute to cool. The green tea should be in lukewarm condition. Now add a few drops of your favorite oil to it and then use it.
How to use it?
Pour this green tea into a bottle and then spray it on your hair and scalp. Leave it for a few minutes and then rinse it off. This method stimulates your hair growth and protects it from sun damage. It will also bring down your stress level.
Try this hair spa treatment at least once a week. You’ll feel dramatic changes in your hair.
