What is Deodar?
Deodar is a tall, evergreen coniferous tree that can grow from 4,921 feet to 10,499 feet above sea level. The Botanical Name of Deodar Cedar is Cedrus Deodara which is one of the thickest trees belonging to Pinaceae family.
Deodar Tree is the National Tree of Pakistan. From 131 feet to 164 feet in height, this dense tree is native to Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, eastern Afghanistan, Uttarakhand, northern Pakistan, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, western Nepal, Darjeeling, and southwestern Tibet.
